Hello! My name is Katie and I am a Graphic Designer and Art Director from Los Angeles, where I currently live and work. In the Summer of 2017 I received my undergraduate degree in Art + Technology and Art History from the University of Oregon's College of Design. Go Ducks!

I enjoy working as a designer in both in-house and freelance environments. My passions for design lie most fervently in brand management, communication design and digital illustration. I am currently working at LA28 on the Brand Design & Look of the Games team.

My practice is based on a fine art foundation, which helped me transition into the digital realm. My design aesthetic relies on a conceptual transparency that reveals the presence of an artist working from a gestural line or an initial sketch. Every illustration, typeface, or graphic I design is informed by a desire to maintain an artisanal quality, while still utilizing the refining technology of digital design programs. I think all that really means is that I don’t want anyone to forget that when we look around at the world and see the overwhelming amount of art that fills our lives, no matter how seemingly sophisticated, average, or obscure, that there is an artist behind those designs and choices. And that artist matters!

I spend my personal time sketching, swimming and eating all the food. I frequent museums, dog parks and flea markets.
